PFTariffmaster Attendants Console
The PF Tarrifmaster time-based parking management system
provides a simple and cost-effective way of managing car
parking access and control-ling access validity periods without
the need for expensive cabling between components.
The system uses magnetic stripe cards to hold access rights
and validity time data. Each Entry Station provides information
about visitor initial arrival times,
and cards issued at the attendant’s console strictly control
customers’ access rights to car parks and facilities as well as
the final exit time.
The Tariffmaster attendant’s console reads barcode entry
tickets, calculates the fees payable based on preprogrammed
tariff details, encodes magnetic stripe
access control cards and, if necessary, prints customer receipts
and/or barcode exit tokens.
The console may also be connected to a PC to enable
transaction records to be analysed and to provide additional
tariff management features.

PFTariffmaster Entry Station
The Tariffmaster entry station is designed to be used primarily, but not exclusively, as part of the
Tariffmaster Parking System as a means of recording the date and time that a vehicle enters a car
park. Located at the entrance of the car park, it issues tickets to visitors as they arrive. Each ticket is
printed with a barcode containing a serial number and the date and time at which the ticket is issued.
The action of taking the ticket triggers an ‘open’ signal to the entry barrier.
The ticket will normally be required to be taken to an attendant’s station/reception desk where the
arrival date and time will be used in conjunction with other data to calculate the parking fee.
If a barcode reader is fitted to the exit station, the ticket can be used to allow exit from the car park
provided that it is used within the preset grace period.
A swipe card reader can be included to enable staff and long-term visitors to enter without requesting
a ticket. |

PFTariffmaster Exit Station
The PF Tariffmaster exit station is designed to be used as part of the
Tariffmaster Parking System to prevent unauthorised vehicles leaving the
car park or entering restricted areas. Located at the exit of the car park or
the entrance to a restricted area, it validates pass cards and exit permits.
The main component of the station is a card capture reader that reads
magnetic swipe cards issued to authorised staff, customers, guests, etc. If
the card is valid for use at that check point and has not expired, the exit
station controller will give an open signal to the associated barrier, turnstile,
etc. The card may be captured on expiry and/or on the last day of validity.
The station may also be programmed to capture lost or stolen cards. A swipe
card reader option is available for stations that don’t need to capture cards.
A barcode reader may also be fitted at the exit station to read exit tickets.
These tickets may be issued at the entry station or at the attendant’s
station/reception desk. They are valid for single use at the exit station
provided that they are used within the validity period. The exit station
controller checks the details within the barcode and sends an open signal to
the associated barrier,
turnstile, etc. when a valid ticket is identified. |
